£475,000 saving
for a National Housebuilder

In May 2024 we managed to save a well known housebuilder £475,000 on a single diversion that they were originally quoted £603,000 for.

We got their C4 Quotation reduced to £128,000.


On average the Diversions we receive to audit on our Clients behalf are around £178,000 and come with a 62% saving on new and, or historical diversions.

That is an average saving to a developer / housebuilder of £110,000.

Here are the three main reasons that we are different and no one in the UK is currently offering this type of service as confirmed by our clients for reasons I won’t bore you with here;

Reason One: You have to know how to talk to utilities companies and use the correct language and legal framework.

Reason Two: You have to understand the detail of the New Roads Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA) back to front and upside down to align their quotation with that text.

Reason Three: You have to understand which part or section of the NRSWA you are applying to the utilities company under with your questioning and with that, they legally have to respond within a specific amount of time which we will specify according to the legislation – there are time constraints involved or fines can apply.

Once you are adept at these three things, the utilities companies;

  1. Will respond and;

  2. Will reduce your quotation or reimburse you…. 


…. under the Governing Laws that are in place to protect you, the highways, our countryside and protect public money.


Suffice to say we are now helping this housebuilder as a ‘Specialist Auditing Partner’ on all of their diversions of which, although they have a lot of project resource, no one knows how to engage formerly with the utilities companies on their behalf for a successful and agreeable outcome for all stakeholders.
